After studying Biotechnology (B.Sc.) and Molecular Life Sciences (M.Sc.) in Hamburg, which he completed with a specialisation in NextGeneration Sequencing, he moved to the Technical University of Braunschweig, where he completed his doctorate summa cum laude.

He is the author of over 20 peer-reviewed scientific publications and has been a scientist at Soilytix GmbH since 2021.

Passionate farmer with a farm in Schleswig-Holstein for vegetable cultivation and speciality crops as well as flowering seed production to generate biodiversity. After studying biology in Hamburg with a diploma thesis on expression analyses of breast carcinoma cells, she received a graduate scholarship for her doctoral thesis.

The genome analyses of globin genes with sequence analyses in cichlid fish were her entry into medical research at the Eppendorf University Medical Centre. For 25 years now, she has accompanied the analytical investigations in the laboratory of the Dermatologikum Hamburg, including molecular biology, bacteriology and mycology.

After her studies in Economics and Political Science in Münster, Bergen, Copenhagen, and St. Petersburg, Dr. Hannah Schragmann earned her doctorate on the topic of alternative measurements of productivity that integrate long-term social and ecological consequences. She has worked extensively in the strategy department of a major wind energy corporation, as well as serving as the Chief Transparency Officer of an impact-focused startup, advocating for various forest conservation and regenerative agriculture projects in the Global South, while developing sustainability standards and impact metrics. At Soilytix, she is responsible for the biodiversity strategy and partnership approach.

After studying Molecular Life Sciences at the University of Hamburg, with a focus on protein biochemistry and molecular biology, Dr. Franziska Böwer focused on cell biology, chromosome biology, and plant genetics during her PhD, which was supported by a doctoral scholarship, as well as in her subsequent postdoctoral research.

Julien has cultivated a deep connection to nature and sustainability, driven by years of experience in the regenerative agriculture space. Born and raised in Amsterdam, Julien combines a professional background in commercial leadership with a personal passion for ecological stewardship.

As a hobbyist regenerative olive farmer, Julien manages a personal olive grove and shares insights from this journey through @wildwild.olive. Beyond farming, Julien enjoys mountain biking, foraging, and exploring the outdoors, finding endless inspiration in connecting with nature.
